The fourth quarter of 2023 saw varying performance trends among the top 5 News and Magazines apps on the Android platform in Guatemala. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Twitter Lite experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 3K in mid-October before dipping to approximately 1K in early December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering between 1.2K and 1.3K throughout the quarter.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket saw an initial spike in weekly downloads, reaching 2.2K in early October, followed by a decline to about 400 in late November. Active users showed a steady increase, peaking at over 44K in mid-December.

Way2News Daily News App experienced a drop in weekly downloads from 3.1K in early October to around 300 by the end of December. However, weekly active users remained strong, consistently above 50K, with a peak of over 60K in late November.

Opera News: breaking & local had a varied download trend, starting at 1.4K in late September and dropping to around 500 by the end of December. Active users fluctuated but generally stayed between 16K and 21K during the quarter.

Quora: the knowledge platform maintained a modest download rate, ranging from 400 to 900 weekly downloads. Active users showed a slight increase, peaking at nearly 12K in mid-December.
